Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The entire month has been set aside to build awareness in the public about childhood cancers, those struggling with the disease and what they might be able to do to make a difference in the life of a child and their family. Both locations of  Bountiful Bakery and Cafe are proud to be hosting art and writing samples directly from the children at the ‘Specially for Children Blood and Cancer Center at Dell Children’s Hospital as well as disseminating information about childhood cancers.

We also will be accepting donations for a “Wish List” of items directly from the children at the clinic. These children have to grow up very quickly because they are dealing with life and death issues. Yet, we cannot forget that they are still just kids…and sometimes having a new toy or game is enough of a distraction to make the difference between a good day and a bad one.

Bountiful is turning one!

The First Birthday of our Shops at the Galleria location is upon us and we have an entire week of FREE giveaways planned for our amazing, supportive customers.
Starting August 23rd-August 29th we want to celebrate the success of our newest venture. So pick a day (or two or three) when you can come into our Shops at the Galleria location and let us say "Thank you" to you!!

Monday August 23rd: Every customer gets a FREE mini-cupcake 11:00am-until they're gone!
Tuesday August 24th: We will be serving FREE bubbly lemonade and spritz cookies on the patio 11:00am-until it's gone!

Thursday August 26th: To introduce our new daily Happy Hour from 2:00-4:00 for today only buy one slice of cake or pie and get one FREE all day!
Friday August 27th: The owners of Summer Moon Fire Roasted Coffee will be here handing out FREE samples of our new delicious, addictive, stimulating, hand-crafted iced coffee drink called The Bountiful Busy Bee...we can't wait for you to try it! 11:00am-until it's gone!
Saturday August 28th: Introducing our new Breakfast Happy Hour 10% OFF any breakfast menu item from 8:00am-12:00pm!
Sunday August 29th: Since we can't forget the kids-One FREE Kid's Fried Chicken Buffet with the purchase of One Adult Buffet 11:00am-2:00pm!

Back to School...and a few other cool things too!

I can't believe it but, it's almost here! That magical time of year filled with new pencils, haircuts and shoes that need to be broken in. That's right...it's back to school (a.k.a. Mom has been paroled!) Not that we don't love having our kids around but come on, school was invented for a reason.

We have so much going on at Bountiful the next couple of months that we cannot wait to share it with you! The First Birthday of our Shops at the Galleria location is coming up and we are planning a week-long celebration of free goodies and promotions just for all of our wonderful customers. So keep an eye out for all the info and be sure to come in, we really want to thank all of you for your support!

Is this the dog days of summer?

We are officially smack dab in the middle of the summer. Half way through...half way to go. And the boredom has set in. All the good movies are out already, there are no cool holidays to plan for, nothing but hot, hot and more hot outside and you can't wear your bathing suit to work. Is this what they mean by "the dog days of summer?"

All I can tell you is Bountiful is really cool inside (AC is working overtime) our flavored iced teas are delicious and you can grab a piece of our daily offering of specialty cake (like black forest, yum) or pie (like chocolate cream). We make them everyday just because we love to bake! So, all that combined might help to fend off the doldrums that we all find ourselves in this time of year.

The patio at our Shops at the Galleria location is covered and has fans to keep you cool. It is also dog-friendly for those of you who like to take your furry friends out on the town. I think my dog has it all figured out though. She likes to hang out in the AC on a huge chair where she can see out the window...I think she's onto something. Hey, maybe that's what the "dog days of summer means!"

AquaPalooza is coming this weekend!

Created by Sea Ray Boats, Aquapalooza is the name given to a series of on-water celebrations held in July at more than 100 locations around the world. In case you haven't heard this year's Signature Event, the most celebrated of all the AquaPalooza events, will be held July 9th and 10th on our own beautiful Lake Travis! The Reserve at Lake Travis is the location for what truly is the world's largest on-water extravaganza. The headline performer this year is country music star Brad Paisley. You must register on-line to attend the event at www.AquaPalooza.com

Bountiful's Shops at the Galleria location is right on the way to AquaPalooza this year and we will have our picnic pack coolers ready as well as special discounts available to those with AquaBands this week leading up to the event.
